INTRODUCTION TO GEMMOLOGY

INTRODUCTION
It is a basic course in the theoretical and practical study of gemstones. It deals with the study of physical and optical character of natural and synthetic gemstones. Stress is laid on the various visual and instrumental identification techniques employed for distinguishing natural gemstones from synthetic and artificially enhanced gemstones.

This course is also ideal for artisans and professionals in jewellery industry as it will equip them with a comprehensive knowledge of various gem material constantly encountered within the industry.
